An E-Fit image has been released after thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes were stolen from a lorry outside a supermarket.

At around 1.30pm on Monday, May 18, a delivery was being made to the Co-op store on the High Street in Chalfont St Giles.

Whilst the lorry was open, a man jumped onto the back of the lorry and stole thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes.

He subsequently fled with two other men towards the green and got into a black Audi A6.

Police have since recovered the vehicle.

The offender is described as a white man, around 25-years-old and approximately 6ft tall. He has short stubble on his face and was wearing a cap and a black jacket.

Investigating officer Case Investigator Hazel Browne, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises the man depicted, or who has any information about this offence, to get in touch.
