Two men have been arrested after police responded to reports of a knife seen in Borehamwood.
Armed police have been in the town this afternoon after a report came in to police just before 1.10pm.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "There has been a heightened police presence in Borehamwood this afternoon during which two arrests were made (Friday 1 May).
"We were called just before 1.10pm to report that an altercation had occurred on Stirling Way, and a knife was allegedly seen.
"Officers from the BCH Armed Policing Unit attended the area and two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are now in police custody.
"An investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances of the incident but at this stage, it is believed that all parties involved are known to one another.
