- In Waltham Forst there are 14 Covid-19 cases, in Redbridge 14, Barking and Dagenham 14 , and Newham 23.

- Up to 40 stations on the London Underground network are to be shut. From Friday, the Waterloo and City line will shut completely and from Monday TfL said it would gradually reduce other parts of its network.

- At yesterday's daily briefing, it was announced that all schools in the UK will be closed from Friday, March 2
