An analysis of nearly 6,000 film listings has revealed Borehamwood is the second-most popular filming location in the whole of the UK.
Jurys Inn wanted to find out where in the UK has featured in the most films and TV series.
To try and answer that question, the hotel group trawled through 5,915 IMDb movie listings to find the most popular filming locations across the country.
Unsurprisingly, London topped the list with more than a 1,000 films and TV shows produced at studios and locations in the capital.
Second on the list, someway behind, but leading the rest of the way was Borehamwood with 110 films identified as being produced in the town.
Some of these include Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
Elstree Studios was picked out as one of the key reasons behind the film success in the town.
Nearby Hatfield House also features prominently in the list at 10th with the stately home featuring in 39 movies including Tomb Raider and Batman Begins.
