THREE teenagers have been arrested after an emergency worker was assaulted in Hamble.

The youngsters were arrested following a public order incident that took place on Coronation Parade, Hamble between 6.50pm and 7.30pm on Saturday February 22.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of common assault on an emergency worker and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of common assault, affray and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

While another 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray and two offences of assaulting a person, causing actual bodily harm.

All three teenagers are from Southampton, and they were released on police bail, but remain under investigation as the enquiries are continued.

Now, officers are appealing for information on the incident and have urged anyone who witnessed it to come forward.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We’ve arrested three teenagers following a public order incident that took place in Coronation Parade, Hamble, between 6.50pm and 7.30pm, Saturday, February 22 and they have been released on police bail but remain under investigation as our enquiries continue.

"We understand that this incident may have caused some concern to nearby residents and business owners but we would like to reassure the community that we’re treating this as an isolated incident and are conducting a thorough investigation.
