A child was hit by a vehicle this morning.
An air ambulance and numerous ambulance crews were called to Furzehill Road in Borehamwood, near to the junction with Shenley Road, at 10.30am.
A photo shows emergency vehicles, including paramedics and police, parked on both sides of Furzehill Road.
The air ambulance has also landed, in a field in Shakespeare Drive.
The child, believed to be aged around four-years-old, is being taken to hospital for treatment.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police say.
