A man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods in the town centre.
Police spotted a man trying to sell perfume in Borehamwood at around 2.20pm yesterday.
When they went to approach him, he ran off, but police caught up with him a short while later.
The man was searched and 15 bottles of perfume were found on him.
As police tried to arrest the man in Shenley Road, near Nandos, he reportedly became verbally abusive.
Footage uploaded on Facebook showed at least three police units at the scene.
- A 19-year-old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and on suspicion of a section 4 public order offence. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
