  • Thousands of drivers were stuck in the closure and on routes around Hertfordshire and north London.
  • The worst affected roads were the A406, A10, roads via Potters Bar, and the A414 between St Albans and Hatfield.
  • The M25 reopened completely shortly before 10pm.
