Build Your Own Bollywood

Dillie Keane
After some gardening leave, Dillie is back where she belongs - on a cabaret stage, accompanied by the marvellous Michael Roulston. Her take on life and love is cheerfully sour, gently savage and peculiarly mordant - but the beautiful music softens the effect. She freely admits she has a voice like a dying crow being crushed beneath an angry sheep, but that’s never stopped her.

Rip it Up the 70s
Join Olympic champion Louis Smith, Rachel Stevens from S Club 7, and Melody Thornton from Pussycat Dolls. The 1970s were when icons were born. From somewhere in space landed David Bowie and Marc Bolan – two other-worldly angels at the forefront of glam rock. In New York and Miami disco was born. Music went more soulful with the sounds from Philadelphia. The Eurovision Song contest made its greatest contribution to pop music with the birth of Abba. Michael Jackson went Off The Wall, Eagles were checking out of Hotel California, The Bee Gees defined a Saturday Night Fever, Bruce was Born To Run, Carole King wove her Tapestry, Fleetwood Mac had their Rumours, The Beatles Let It Be, and John Lennon Imagined.

Jim Rattigan’s Pavilion
Jim Rattigan is one of the UK’s leading French horn players and widely recognised as a pioneer of the jazz French horn. He has performed with many globally renowned artists including Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden, Steve Swallow and McCoy Tyner. After their highly successful Arts Council funded tour of 2016/17 they were invited to play at the London and Cambridge international jazz festivals and nominated for a British Jazz Award.

Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by author/illustrator Eric Carle has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969. Now the timeless classic has made its way off the page and onto the stage. Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle’s stories: Brown Bear Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show celebrating its 50th birthday in 2019.

Masterclass with Steven Mead
Calling all brass players (or any musician or would-be musician) and enthusiasts. This is an opportunity to get some helpful tips to improve your playing, regardless of which instrument you play. Suitable for players of all abilities, instruments and ages. Steven’s masterclass will try to cover all the main aspects of playing a brass instrument and how, by refining your practice techniques, you can chart your progress to become a better and more confident performer.

An Afternoon of Clairvoyance
