The county finals, which were held at the University of Hertfordshire on May 1, was supported by the Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor and the lord lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss, who was keynote speaker.

MITECH, a team from Watford Grammar School for Girls who had developed a children’s storytelling app, said they were pleased to have made it to the county finals.

Area manager Jill O’Neill said: “I was fortunate to speak with a number of the teams that evening.

“Every company team I spoke with demonstrated such professionalism and passion about their business.

“It was magnetic, each of them driven by hard work, dedication, commitment and a never giving up attitude.”
