A driver who police say has complained to them about speeding was pulled up on Thursday - because they were speeding.
Officers were carrying out speed checks in Aycliffe Road, Borehamwood after members of the community raised concerns about how quickly cars were travelling through the area.
In total, three cars were pulled over, presumably after being clocked going over the 30mph speed limit.
But it turned out that one of those drivers was someone who had complained to police about speeding. The Borehamwood police force took to Twitter to share their story.
Residents mentioned about speeding issues along Aycliffe Road in our Ward Priorities so we’ve been out educating motorists! Three people spoken to and one was a person who complained about speeding! #SaferStreets #WardPriorities #CowleyHill pic.twitter.com/OeKiLE29Vg

Police have also been carrying out speed checks in Radlett this week.
After asking residents what the biggest issues in the village were, speeding was a priority.
Officers targeted Gills Hill Lane and Cobden Hill. A number of drivers were given advice.
We recently put out a survey asking local residents what are their concerns in Radlett.
