A business networking group is growing from strength to strength.

BNI The Wood, not even a year old, has established itself as a core part of the Borehamwood business community - growing to nearly 30 members.

Unusually for BNI - the early morning network of referral marketing groups - Borehamwood’s chapter meets at 9.30AM, offering business growth opportunities to people juggling businesses and other commitments. Showcasing a diverse range of businesses and professions, the group has overachieved its target of £500,000nworth of business referrals since launch.

Borehamwood, with it's good transport links and proximity to London, has become the home of a number of businesses in the country with a wide range of industrial and business parks spread right across the town and Elstree. BNI The Wood specifically focuses on the growth of business in the town.

Successfully built by a strong leadership team, headed by businessman Peter Lurie of Proactive Medical, the chapter is moving to a new phase under the dynamic leadership of David Chernick of TREACL Sales, supported by Alan Rick of Utility Warehouse, and Hannah Del Ponte from Borehamwood’s College of Osteopaths.

Mr Chernick said: “Contrary to popular belief, a lot of business in Borehamwood is buzzing. Business is not just about what shops are opening on the high street. BNI The Wood offers an amazing opportunity to help that buzz, grow our own local businesses, and contribute to our local communities and town. We want even more local businesses to visit us to see how we do it.”

The chapter meets every Tuesday 9.30AM to 11.30AM at Allum Manor House and Hall.
