Update: Two cars involved in crash which shut road this morning
The A411 between Elstree and near Bushey Heath is completely shut this morning because of a crash.
Emergency services are at the scene but there are no further details at this stage about what's happened.
Watford Road is closed between the A41 and Elstree Hill.
As a result of the closure, there are long queues in the surrounding area which isn't being helped by temporary four way lights in Elstree due to a sewer failure.

There are delays on all roads into Elstree village crossroads but the problems have spread out as far as out of Stanmore and Bushey Heath.
The A41 is now solid heading away from Watford from Hilfield Lane to Centennial Park business park - although traffic has cleared on the A41 between Esso and Elstree Road.
Elstree Road and Heathbourne Road out of Bushey Heath towards the A41 are also gridlocked.
Dagger Lane also busy as drivers seek alternative routes.
Delays too in Watford, mainly in Whippendell Road due to roadworks near Queens Avenue. Drivers heading into town through West Watford will see longer journey times.
