The high-end restaurant owner has been charged after deer were shot in Harold Hill.

William Alldis, of Duck Lane, Epping has been charged with discharging a firearm in a public place and being in possession of a loaded firearm.

The legal action follows the injuring of four animals by an alleged poacher in Dagenham Park.

While it is not clear whether the deer were harmed, a member of the public claimed to have witnessed the shooting.

Alldis, 39, is well known in Epping for his involvement with the Cart Shed Restaurant.

He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 20 February.
