A Croydon cyclist is recovering from their injuries after being knocked down by a hit and run driver yesterday.

Police were called at 6.40pm to reports of a crash on London Road, near the junction of Sumner Road.

Attending officers and ambulance services staff found an injured cyclist. The driver fled to scene.

The cyclist was taken to a west London hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made, as enquiries into the driver continue. The full circumstances of the crash are not currently known.
