Twenty parking spaces are currently out of action at a popular park.
Due to drainage works, 20 bays will be suspended in Gade Avenue car park at Cassiobury Park, Watford, for six weeks.
The work began last Monday.
The drainage work will ensure a greater level of floor protection and protection of the water course, Watford Borough Council says.
After the work has been completed, the car parking facilities will be improved and the number of spaces will increase from 132 to 204.
However, it comes at a cost to drivers with the council introducing parking charges for the first time ever at Cassiobury Park, as revealed back in October.
The council has confirmed the charges won’t be brought in until the car park has been finished.
