A village is without a cashpoint after burglars broke into a post office.
Nearly a week on, people in Chorleywood are relying on cashback in shops or travelling further afield to withdraw money following the break-in at Chorleywood Post Office in Lower Road last Saturday.
It happened between 3am and 3.20am in the early hours of January 26.
The burglar(s) managed to get into the post office but police have not confirmed what was taken.
The suspect(s) fled in an unknown direction.
The store has remained boarded up for the whole week and the cash machine, which is outside the store, is out of action.
A sign on the front door reads ‘Due to unforeseen circumstances we are closed. Sorry for the inconvenience.’
Anyone who witnesses the burglary or has any information which may help police should call 101 quoting crime reference 41/8352/19.
