A man in his 80s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a Land Rover today.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash which happened just before 5pm in Arundel Drive Borehamwood.
The road remains closed and emergency services are at the scene investigating exactly what happened.
What they do know is a red Land Rover Freelander was involved in a collision with a pedestrian - an elderly man.
He has been rushed to St Mary's Hospital in London.
The driver of the Land Rover was not injured.
