A young boy who is living in hospital while he undergoes treatment was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet some of his footballing heroes.
Ben Kelly, from Shenley, was invited down to Chelsea football club’s training ground where he got the chance to meet stars including French striker Olivier Giroud, Brazilian defender David Luiz, rising talent Callum Hudson-Odoi, and his favourite player, Eden Hazard.
Ben, 7, who is an in-patient at Royal Brompton Hospital, watched on as his heroes trained on the pitches before he met some of them posing for pictures and getting autographs.

Mum, Gina, said Ben had been looking forward to the day for so long and added: “Ben is an in-patient at Brompton and it is amazing that through their charity and the Chelsea Foundation he has been able to come here and meet the players.
“It was an incredible day for all that left Ben absolutely beaming, having made memories to treasure for many years to come.”
