An amateur author who had the first book she ever wrote published will be hosting a book signing this weekend to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
Sheralee French, from Borehamwood, says she was “astonished” when her book Serena caught the eye of a publisher.
The book is based on a tiger cub, Serena, who has the power to turn herself into a stuffed toy by saying a magic word.
For every book sold, a donation will be made to the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund.
Mrs French will be at 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.
She will read a children’s story and be available to sign copies of her book.
