This was the scene in Elstree earlier today.
A major junction was brought to a standstill after a police car was involved in a collision.
The emergency services were called to the middle of Elstree at the junction of Elstree Hill and the A411 just before 1pm today.
The collision was between a police car and a Jaguar.
An officer and a passenger in the Jaguar sustained slight injuries and paramedics attended as a precaution. No one was taken to hospital. Both vehicles had to be recovered.
Roads into Elstree were gridlocked while the scene was cleared.
