Ram-raiders smashed their way into a shop in the early hours of today before making off with a supply of cigarettes.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said a white “flat bed-type vehicle” reversed into the doors of the Abbotswood Park Co-op in Leavesden, at around 2.30am this morning.
Four people then went into the shop and stole cigarettes from behind the counter before fleeing the scene.
Police have set up a cordon around the Co-op
Today, a police car remains outside the crime scene while a cordon has sealed off the area.
The Co-op is currently closed for business.
No other shops were damaged.
