There were 438,656 cyber attacks on computer systems at Hertfordshire County Council over the summer months this year (2018).
The data – for June, July and August – includes attacks on servers, remote attacks, malware and ‘phishing’ attacks.
The figure is included in a ‘resources report’ that was presented to a meeting of the council’s resources and performance cabinet panel on Friday (December 14).
According to the report all attempts were “successfully repelled”.
