Shoppers urged to keep their cool as Black Friday looms.
"Black Friday should never mean a black eye”, that’s the warning from Member of the European Parliament for East of England, Alex Mayer.
Black Friday is a day of special deals and slashed prices and marks the start of the festive shopping period on November 23.
Ms Mayer said: “Too many shoppers get their tinsel in a twist at this busy time of year, but there is absolutely no excuse for violence towards shop workers.
“Shoppers need to keep their cool this winter.
“Abuse isn't part of the job - Black Friday should never mean a black eye.”
