A road which has been shut this week for emergency repairs should be open again in the next couple of days.
Affinity Water is repairing a water main in Watford Road, Elstree, near The Fishery pub and have had no option but to close the road.
Drivers are being diverted via Dagger Lane and Aldenham Road although it has also meant longer delays on Elstree Hill South coming from the direction of Centennial Business Park.
Watford Road was recently closed for a month for further roadworks and once the road does open, which is scheduled for tomorrow, there will temporary traffic lights in the area due to UK Power Networks installing some high voltage cables.
Those lights are in place until Sunday, according to Hertfordshire County Council.
