Shops will stop selling eggs and flour to deter anti-social behaviour over Halloween.
Police officers in Hertsmere have been working with businesses and shops in the borough to ensure the celebration passes smoothly and without incident.
One of the methods the force has come up with is to take eggs and flour of shop shelves or only sell them as part of a bigger grocery shop.
In the past, youths have targeted homes by pelting eggs at front doors.
Trick or treaters will be out tomorrow evening and the police say they will deal with any acts of anti-social behaviour “robustly”.
