There are long queues this evening due to a road closure.
Watford Road is closed near The Fishery in Elstree due to emergency repairs on a valve.
Drivers are being diverted along Dagger Lane and Aldenham Road near to Elstree Aerodrome.
But as a result, the entire diversion route is clogged up in both directions as is Elstree Hill South into the traffic lights in Elstree village centre.
The road is set to remain shut until Friday.
Drivers should also be aware that Radlett Lane is closed between Shenley and Radlett due to ongoing works and people should use Harper Lane as an alternative.
