An air ambulance has been called after a car crashed into a tree.
Emergency services have been called to Rowley Lane between the A1 and Arkley after reports of a car being involved in a collision with a tree at 2.10pm, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman has confirmed.
The driver is a man aged in his 20s.
He was airlifted to hospital with head injuries.
Rowley Lane is closed in both directions.
Meanwhile on the A1 itself, a crash at Stirling Corner shut two lanes approaching the roundabout. All lanes have reopened, however traffic is backed up near to the Galley Lane junction.
There are also long delays on Furzehill Road approaching Stirling Corner and it is very busy in both directions in Barnet Road between Barnet Gate and Arkley.
