Dave Degan wonders where the bike lock-ups have gone in the High Street
So the new Charter Place complex will be ready in October 2018.
Given that the high street south of Market Street has now been dug up and is now in the process of being re-paved with tiny bricks (and we all know how long it took to build the length north of Market Street) - an October opening would seem to be a rather optimistic proposition.
The new look of the completed paved section is great adorned in floral bouquets.
But something is missing: where are the bike lock-ups and shelters?
Or is cycling in the town centre’s pedestrian precinct now something to be discouraged?
