There are very long delays in and around Borehamwood and Elstree because of a crash earlier today.
Following a collision at Apex Corner this afternoon, the A1 southbound is solid from Stirling Corner to Apex Corner. All lanes have reopened but delays continue.
But the queues have had a knock-on effect for drivers in our area as people seek alternative routes.
Barnet Lane is gridlocked from Stirling Corner all the way to the traffic lights in Elstree high street while Elstree Hill is also struggling in both directions to the same traffic lights.
The A1 southbound into Stirling Corner is queueing from the Rowley Lane junction.
Elstree Way all the way into Shenley Road in Borehamwood town centre is also a lot busier than usual, as is Furzehill Road towards the junction with Shenley Road.
