A primary school was delighted to open its brand new sports complex last week.
Parkside Community Primary School in Aycliffe Road, Borehamwood, unveiled its new multi-use games area with a ceremony.
New head teacher Charles Soyka was joined by school governors and Boreham Wood Football Club manager Luke Garrard, as well as members of the club’s community coaching team for the event.
Luke Garrard cuts the ribbon
Mr Garrard cut the purple ribbon to officially open the complex before joining the children for a kick-about. The new sports area has been designed by pupils at the school and Parkside said they cannot wait to begin using the new facility. It provides a space to play football and also has basketball nets.
Parkside thanked the board of governors and Boreham Wood football club for their continued support.
