Auditions are taking place later this month for a brand new production of the musical Annie.

Open auditions will be taking place on Saturday, July 14 from 2pm to 5pm and Monday, July 23 from 5pm to 7pm at The Radlett Centre in preparation for show week, which will be running from November 22 to 24, 2018.

In the story, with equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks and his personal secretary Grace Farrell.

The auditions will run for 20 to 30 minutes. Young people are auditioned in groups of 10 to 12 and will be taught an excerpt from a song from the show, a short dance routine and will be asked to read a short piece of dialogue.
