Moped riders robbed Michael McIntyre as he picked up his children from a Golders Green school.

On Monday two robbers used hammers to smash the windows of the comedian's black Range Rover while he was still parked on North End Road.

The publicist of the Comedy Roadshow star said he was "fine" and helping police with their enquiries.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called at 1.59pm to the incident.

"The victim was stationary in his car when two males on a moped smashed the car windows with a hammer before stealing property," a statement said.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

McIntyre is prodigiously successful.

His 2012 UK tour had him play to more than 700,000 people in 71 venues and earned the comic £21m.

Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101 quoting CAD4018/04JUN or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
