Officers were called to Elstree&Borehamwood station
A 16-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a train.
British Transport Police were called near to Elstree & Borehamwood station in the early hours of yesterday morning, around 2am.
Paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy's family has been informed and are being supported by officers.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
