Drivers facing more misery after second water main bursts
Drivers are facing lengthy delays once again as the entry and exit slip road on the A1 remains shut to carry out repairs after a burst water main.
The slip roads were briefly re-opened last night but Highways East have confirmed that motorists cannot leave or enter the A1 southbound at Rowley Lane.
A reminder: the exit and entry slip-roads are closed at the junction of the #A5135 near #Borehamwood. You cannot exit the #A1 s/bound or join the #A1 s/bound at this location, while repairs caused by earlier flood damage take place @roadpoliceBCH @TfLTrafficNews @AffinityWater pic.twitter.com/wwl64un9zK

Hertfordshire County Council's website suggests that the road closure will stay in place until Thursday as Affinity Water carry out repairs.
The closure has caused chaos so far this week with local routes affected badly including all roads into Stirling Corner such as Furzehill Road, A411, and Barnet Road and Stirling Way.
Latest pictures show a huge crater in the road which has been dug up so that workers can repair the burst water main.
