A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after crashing with a car.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust was called at just before 1.55pm yesterday to the M1 south-bound sliproad exit at junction 4 near Elstree.

A motorcyclist, whose bike had ended up underneath a car, was assessed for serious injuries but did not appear to suffer fractures caused by the impact. He did complain of abdominal pain which can suggest internal injuries, and was taken by the land ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital, London, for further care. The critical care team on the helicopter also attended the hospital.

There is no information on other people at scene, but none were taken to hospital.
