Hertfordshire's paramedics took on their Essex colleagues in a football match last Saturday to raise money for Madeleine McCann, who recently went missing in Portugal. The teams met at Boreham Wood Football Club's ground in Meadow Park for the contest.
Hertfordshire's Gary Sanderson scored four goals to help win the match 5-4. He said: "It was a very worthwhile day. Thanks to Boreham Wood Football Club, who allowed us to play on the pitch and donated some money. We raised about £100"
