A care home is calling for generous neighbours to volunteer to support their disabled residents.
New Court Place, in Whitehouse Avenue, Borehamwood, needs helpers of all ages to fill a variety of roles such as gardener and driver.
It is managed by disability charity Livability, who are running a nationwide recruitment drive for volunteers who want to improve the lives of disabled people.
The home on Whitehouse Avenue supports 24 adults with disabilities who receive 24-hour care.
Volunteers will receive ongoing training and support as well as other benefits. Patrick Kidd, Volunteering Manager at Livability, said: “Our volunteers contribute a huge amount of skill, time and care to our services.
"However we need more volunteers to help us support disabled people to live full and active lives. We would particularly love volunteers for New Court Place.”
