A choir followed their appearance at the Christmas light switch on by performing at a supermarket to raise money for charity.
Pupils from Meryfield Primary School, in Theobald Street, Borehamwood, spent an afternoon delighting customers with a performance at Tesco in Shenley Road.
The choir raised more than £360 for Guide Dogs for the Blind and were joined by the school's chairman of governors John Cooper, who came along with his guide dog Andy.
Teacher Jessica Bigland said: “We sang a selection of Christmas songs for an hour and a half and some shoppers stayed to watch the whole performance.
“Lots of people wanted to talk to us about the children and we were told by one customer how she had been really cheered up by our singing after some very sad news.”
He said: “We would like to thank all of Tesco’s customers who helped us raise £364.”
The choir will perform at Fountain Court, Morrisons supermarket and in a Christmas celebration at Meryfield School.
