I am from a military background and have given more than 35 of my years to public service and attended at least 45 Remembrance Day services during my lifetime.
I supported the service at Shenley on Sunday with many other villagers. Can someone please explain why the cenotaph in Shenley must be only one in Britain were the Last Post is not played after the two-minute silence?
Also missing was the Lord’s Prayer, which I am sure many of our lost brave men would be reciting as their last words.
