People at a care home found out how much some of their possessions were worth from a former Antiques Roadshow expert.
Michael Laikin visited Sunrise Senior Living in Elstree to talk about his experiences from half a century in the antiques trade.
As well as describing some of his own treasures, he valued items brought along by guests and residents.
Regina Heneghan, general manager at Sunrise of Elstree, said: “It was a real treat to welcome Michael, he’s quite the raconteur and he had some riveting stories from his life in antiques.
“A lot of the guests were pleasantly surprised at the true value of their dusty heirlooms, and I’m sure we’ll all be searching under the bed for more before his next visit.”
