Shoppers are being invited to nominate their favourite charities in the community to receive a share of £150,000.
As part of the Yorkshire Building Society’s annual Make a Difference campaign, the company is donating £1,000 for every year it has been in business.
The society’s Borehamwood branch, in Shenley Road, is calling shoppers to call in to the office and nominate a charity or good cause close to their heart between Monday, August 18 and Saturday, August 23.
All nominated charities will be considered to receive a £100 share of the charitable foundation’s anniversary donation.
Jane Taylor-Davies, national agency manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We’re all really excited to get involved in the Society’s 150 year celebrations and to help our agencies be part of a £150,000 giveaway that could help benefit the local community is just brilliant.”
