Developers have appealed against refusal of planning permission for an "overbearing" house.
The planning application for Watford Road, in Radlett, involved the demolition of the current house, with proposals to build a two-storey five-bed home as a replacement.
Plans also included a treble garage with room space above, usable as a separate one-bedroom annexe.
The application was originally refused as planning officers considered the development to be an "overbearing" and "obstructive structure" in terms of the houses impact on neighbours and the green belt.
