Bodhi Tree Spa owner Carla Pasco Jones says the prestigious Audley Dene retirement village is the perfect premises for Chalfont St Peter’s first 5-star spa.

The spa is located in the main Chalfont House and the ample parking at this luxury development means you feel relaxed before you even begin. Walking inside is like stepping into a country hotel, where clients are able to take advantage of the fabulous onsite facilities, including heated swimming pool, sauna and fitness studio.

And whether it’s a quick breakfast after a morning manicure, or afternoon tea as part of a spa day, clients are able to relax and unwind in the 5-star surroundings of the bar/bistro and fine dining restaurant.

The Bodhi Tree Spa team caters for your every need and the array of treatments available - for both men and women – can be tailored individually, but are all carefully designed to pamper, relax and rejuvenate.

With the last vestiges of a summer holiday tan disappearing as rapidly as the autumnal sun, my skin was given a new lease of life when I sampled the revitalising ELEMIS Intensely Cleansing Ginger & Lime Salt Scrub.

This was followed by an indulgent ELEMIS Pro Collagen Age Defy Facial, where Carla used a gentle Rose exfoliator, Ginseng toner and a cooling peel-off face mask containing algae extracts. Many satisfied clients have left comments on Carla’s Facebook page (carla's bodhi tree spa) extolling her “magic hands” and I can testify that the incorporated neck and face massage was blissfully relaxing.

Bodhi Tree Spa offers head-to-toe beauty treatments and soon to join the team will be micro-pigmentation expert Candice Watson - who has clients in Dubai, New York and Harley Street – providing semi-permanent make-up and medical micro-pigmentation, sculpt face rejuvenation and cryo fat freezing.

However, at the heart of the Bodhi Tree Spa philosophy is a holistic approach to beauty - both inside and out. My mind was rejuvenated and my senses refreshed following sessions of Reiki, Reflexology and Kinesiology – all designed to examine the body’s natural flow of energy which is essential to good health.

A final wash and blow dry in the hair salon and I left Bodhi Tree Spa wanting to spread the word about this little touch of 5-star luxury right on our doorstep. So as Christmas approaches, treat yourself and book a visit - I guarantee it will restore you in mind, body and soul.

* Shellac, wash and blow dry with Balayage Face Framing - £65, running throughout November and December.
