NW1’s summertime oasis is back for its fifth year with sand, deckchairs, VIP beach huts, weekday happy hours and a new menu. This year it promises to bring the best of Barbados with barbecues and themed events, as well as Saturday yoga sessions, live music performances from young emerging talent and DJs who have all come through the Paul Hamlyn Roundhouse Studios including Estee Blu, Eden Roxx and Josh Jacob. The Candlelight Club

This clandestine pop up cocktail party will be in a secret London venue, promising to be a stunning, tucked-away den with a 1920s Speakeasy flavour, completely lit by candles. Each event offers an elegant cocktail menu, sophisticated dining options all night, plus dancing to live 1920s jazz bands and vintage DJs. Sometimes there is also cabaret, dance acts, burlesque and more, but that’s a surprise to.

From Analogue to Digital: Technology's Role in the Refugee Crisis

Good Chance presents a discussion on the role of technology in the refugee crisis. Refugees who find themselves with nothing but a mobile phone live at the sharpest end of what has been described as 'the transition from the analogue to the digital world'. This discussion looks at the life-saving technologies adapted for refugees, and the way social and political attitudes and cultural production are responding to a digital context.

LazyTown

This brand-new theatre show is on a mission to tackle Britain’s much-publicised obesity problem head on. The all new LazyTown Live On Stage is a 60-minute treat of non-stop action. It features Robbie at his rottenest worst while Sportacus has to be at his athletic, super-active best – running, jumping and flipping to save the day.

Camden Fringe

If you cannot make it to Edinburgh then head to Camden for a selection of arts and entertainment. Theatre pieces include Mine, from Who Said Theatre, examining whether anybody really belongs to us and Ya’akobi & Leidental, a grotesque comedy about a love triangle gone wrong. There will be poetry from award-winning artist Jahmar Ngozi, comedy from sketch trio Hot Crisps and Rosie Holt with Drop it Like It’s Holt and An Evening with Cock and Fanny.

Camden Fringe will host 250 productions at 25 venues between August 1 and 28, with everything from opera and musical theatre, to poetry, cabaret and a film screening. Details: camdenfringe.com
