New research has revealed that people in London are in need of a goodnight's sleep more than ever before.
The study, by vitamin and supplement experts Nude Health, investigated how many times people in the capital searched for Energy Tablets (and 2888 related words) over the past 3 years.
The terms were searched an average of 143245 times a month in 2020, but in 2023, they were searched 216860 times – that's a 50% increase!
Jack Purkiss, co-founder of Nude Health, said:
“Getting a good night's sleep is essential to stay healthy and maintain energy levels, but in today’s world it can be difficult.
“From 24/7 distractions, noisy neighbours, or binge-watching your favourite show, getting some shuteye can often be difficult and not high on our priority lists.
“When we talk about how we can benefit from more sleep, we are not only looking to maximise the number of hours slept but we also need to be conscious of the quality of our sleep too.
“That’s why vitamins and supplements can be so beneficial, as they can help fill in the gaps where you’re struggling."
Jack has these top tips for people who want to take supplements:
Quality Matters: Choose high-quality supplements from reputable brands to make sure they’re pure and accurately labeled, and in the most bioavailable forms.
Follow Recommended Dosages: Stick to the recommended dosage on the label. Taking more doesn’t mean better results and can even be harmful.
Timing and Consistency: Take your supplements at the same time every day, and with food or water as directed, to enhance absorption.
Be Patient: Supplements may take time to show results. Keep a journal to track changes to things like your health and energy.
Think Big Picture: Remember, supplements should be a part of a holistic approach to health and wellness, so don’t neglect other factors like exercise, sleep, and stress management.
