Traffic Order 2018 The Harrow (Speed Limit) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 2018
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Harrow proposes to make the above mentioned orders under Sections 6, 7, 45, 46, 47, 83, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the orders is to make provision for the proposed Wealdstone Square shared space area fronting Nos. 1 to 13 Headstone ?rive, by ensuring the only traffic entering this area, does so to access the Royal Mail post office. Waiting and loading activity will be prohibited within this area.

3. The Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No.*) Traffic Order 2018, therefore proposes to further amend The Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Traffic Order 2014, by introducing the at any time waiting and loading restrictions for Wealdstone Square, and for short extents where parking places are not provided at junctions.

4. The Harrow (Parking Places) (Amendment No.*) Traffic Order 2018 further amends The Harrow (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2014, so as to remove the existing pay and display parking places to accommodate the proposed Wealdstone Square. The existing pay and display parking places for 30 cars is proposed to be reduced to 24 cars, a net loss

of 6 pay and display parking spaces. A maximum stay of 4 hours is proposed, tariffs to remain unchanged.
5. The Harrow (Loading Places) (Amendment No.*) Traffic Order 2018 proposes to introduce a new 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday loading bay outside No. 14 Headstone Drive, 2.50 metres wide and 10 metres in length. This is proposed adjacent the proposed Wealdstone Square area.

6. The Harrow (Free Parking Places)(Disabled Persons)(Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 2018 proposes to relocate the two existing disabled bays in the Headstone Drive service road fronting Nos. 4 to 32, to outside No. 33 Headstone Drive, and outside Nos. 15 to 21 Headstone Drive, on the end of the pay and display parking bays.

7. The Harrow (Motorcycle Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018 proposes to remove the existing Motorcycle parking place outside No. 32 Headstone Drive. The order also revokes and consolidates The Harrow (Motorcycle Parking Places) Traffic Order 2008, and all its subsequent amendment orders, with no material change to those orders.

8. The Harrow (Prescribed Routes) (Wealdstone) Traffic Order 2018 proposes to amend the existing one way street in Headstone Drive, to apply only to the new extents of the service road fronting Nos. 4 to 31 Headstone Drive. The main carriageway of Headstone Drive would revert to two way operation. Vehicles would be required to travel from east to west, in the same direction as currently is the case in the service road. The Harrow (Prescribed Routes) (Wealdstone) Traffic Order 2010 would be replaced by this order.

9. The Harrow (Speed Limit) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 2018 proposes to introduce a 20mph zone in Headstone Drive, between its junction with Ellen Webb Drive & Cecil Road, and the eastern extremity.

10. The restrictions referred to in this notice would not apply in respect of anything done at the direction of a police constable in uniform or with the permission of a civil enforcement officer or other person authorised by the Council or in certain circumstances, such as the picking up or setting down of passengers, or the carrying out of statutory powers or duties. The usual exemptions relating to vehicles lawfully displaying a disabled person's "Blue Badge" would apply.

11. A copy of the proposed orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the orders are available for inspection between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday at the Civic Centre, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. 12. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed orders must be made in writing and received at the address given below quoting reference DP2018-09 not later than 13th June 2018.
