THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BARNET, SOUTH MIMMS, POTTERS BAR AND LITTLE HEATH) ORDER 2018
NOTICE is given thatthe Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at anytime on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of  Bentley Heath Lane, Barnet from its junction with Dancers Hill Road north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. thatlength of Galley Lane, Barnet from its junction with Trotters Bottom south westwards and south eastwards for adistance of approximately 1582 metres.

An alternative route will be via Trotters Bottom, A1081 St Albans Road, A1000 High Street, A411 Wood Street and Galley Lane.
3. that length of Kitts End Road, Barnet from its junction with Dancers Hill Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1463 metres.

An alternative route will be via Dancers Hill Road, A1000 (Barnet Road/GreatNorth
Road) and Kitts End Road.
4. thatlength of St Albans Road, South Mimms from its junction with Bignells

Corner south eastwards and clockwise for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. thatlength of Dancers Hill Road, Barnet from its junction with the A1081 St Albans Road/Trotters Bottom roundabout north eastwards to its junction withA1000 Barnet Road, adistance of approximately 2321 metres.

An alternative routewill be via A1081St Albans Road andA1000 GreatNorth Road.
6. thatlength of Baker Street, Potters Bar from apoint 68 metres south west of its junction with Santers Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Dancers Hill Road, adistance of approximately 1268 metres.

An alternative route will be via Baker Street, B556 Mutton Lane, A1000 (Barnet Road/GreatNorth Road) and A1081 St Albans Road.
7. thatlength of Church Road, Little Heath from its junction with A1000 Great

North Road south westwards to its junction with Darkes Lane, adistance of
approximately 695 metres. An alternative route will be via A1000 (GreatNorth Road/Hatfield Road/High Street), B556 Mutton Lane and Darkes Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 April 2018 for aperiod of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. Acopy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank
and public holidays).

NOTICE is given thatthe Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at anytime on both sides of these lengths

1. thatlength of Aycliffe Road, Borehamwood from its junction with the Brampton Terrace/SawtiyWay roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Gateshead Road, adistance of approximately 442 metres.

An alternativeroute willbevia Aycliffe Road, LeemingRoad and GatesheadRoad.
2. thatlength of B5378 Shenleybury, Shenley from its junction with Porters Park Drive north westwards for adistance of approximately 718 metres.

An alternative route will be via B5378 (Black Lion Hill/London Road/Woodhall Lane/Green Street/Cowley Hill/Shenley Road/Allum Lane), A5183 (Watling Street/ Cobden Hill/Watling Street), B556 Harper Lane and B5378 Shenleybury.
3. thatlength of Porters Park Drive, Shenley from its junction with B5378

Shenleyburysouth westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south
eastwards to its junction with Radlett Lane, adistance of approximately 1694 metres.
An alternative routewillbevia B5378 (Shenleybury/Black Lion Hill/London Road)
and RadlettLane.
4. thatlength of Queensway, Shenley from its junction with Porters Park Drive

north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be
maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. thatlength of B5378 Shenleybury, Shenley from its junction with the B556 Harper Lane/B556 Bell Lane roundabout south eastwards for adistance of approximately 890 metres.

An alternative route will be via B556 Harper Lane, A5183 (Watling Street/ Cobden Hill/Watling Street), B5378 (Allum Lane,/Shenley Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/Woodhall Lane/London Road/Black Lion Hill) and B5378 Shenleybury.
6. thatlength of B5378 (Black Lion Hill/London Road), Shenley from its junction with Porters Park Drive south eastwards to its junction with Radlett Lane, adistance of approximately 560 metres.

An alternative route will be via B5378 Shenleybury, B556 Harper Lane, A5183
(Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street) and B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley
Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/Woodhall Lane/London Road).
7. thatlength of B5378 London Road, Shenley from its junction with Radlett Lane south eastwards to its junction with B5378 Woodhall Lane, adistance of approximately 904 metres.

An alternative route will be via B5378 (Black Lion Hill/Shenleybury), B556 Harper Lane, A5183 (Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street) and B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/Woodhall Lane).
8. thatlength of EdgwareburyLane, Elstree from its junction with A411 Barnet Lane south westwards for adistance of approximately 124 metres.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. thatlengthofB5378 Allum Lane, Elstree from its junction with Deacons Hill Road north eastwards to its junction with Theobald Street, adistance of approximately 204 metres.

An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183(Elstree Hill North/High Street), A411 Barnet Lane, A1 Barnet Bypass Road, A5183 (Rowley Lane/Elstree Way) and B5378 Shenley Road.
10. thatlengthofBullhead Road, Borehamwood from its junction with A5183 Elstree Waysouth eastwards and clockwise for adistance of approximately

600 metres.
An alternative route will beviaA5183 Elstree Way, Manor Wayand Kenilworth Drive.
11. thatlength of Chester Road, Borehamwood fromits junction with Manor Way south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Balmoral Drive, adistance of approximately 626metres.

An alternative route will be via Manor Way, Kenilworth Drive and Balmoral Drive.
12. the SawtryWay/Aycliffe Road roundabout, Borehamwood from its junction

with Brampton Terrace clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Brampton Terrace, Stapleton Road, B5378 (Green Street/Cowley Hill), Gateshead Road and Aycliffe Road or via Aycliffe Road,
Leeming Road, Gateshead Road and Aycliffe Road.
13. thatlengthof B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Theobald Street north eastwards to its junction with the Eldon Avenue roundabout, adistance of approximatey 717 metres.

An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (Elstree Hill North/High Street), A411 Barnet Lane, A1 Barnet Bypass Road, A5183 (Rowley Lane/Elstree Way) and B5378 Shenley Road.
14. thatlengthofHillside Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with Furzehill

Road north eastwards and eastwards to its junction with Bullhead Road,
adistance of approximately 792 metres. An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, B5378 Shenley Road, A5183 Elstree Wayand Bullhead Road.
15. thatlength of Cardinal Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with B5378 Shenley Road south eastwards to its junction with Hillside Avenue, adistance

of approximately 475 metres.
An alternative route will be via B5378 Shenley Road, A5183 Elstree Wayand
Bullhead Road.
16. thatlength of Potters Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with Well End Road south westwards to its junction with B5378 Shenley Road, adistance of approximately 805 metres.

An alternative route will be via Well End Road, Rowley Lane, Studio Way, A5183 Elstree Wayand B5378 Shenley Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
