(Church Street, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, in the Parish of Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree from a point approximately 45 metres from Pebmarsh Road for a distance of approximately 20 metres south west.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2016 for four days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while

gas connection works are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Green Farm Lane, Overhall Hill,

Lawshall's Hill, Colne Park Road and vice versa.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained

at all times during the closure.

The Order will come into effect on

5th December 2016 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the District of Braintree:

These closures are to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing works. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18 month period from 27 November 2016 between the hours of 20:00h - 06:00h, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
