(Bradleys Lane, Greenstead Green & Halstead Rural) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bradleys Lane, in the Parish of Greenstead Green & Halstead Rural in the District of Braintree from its junction with White Ash Green for a distance of approximately 950m north east to its junction with Hedingham Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st November 2016 for five days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken. The alternative route will be via White Ash Green, Sloe Hill, Chapel Hill, Trinity Street, Bridge Street, High Street, Hedingham Road, Halstead Road and vice versa.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure. The Order will come into effect on 21 st November 2016 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Braintree District) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (No.4) Order 2016

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the District of Braintree:

These closures are to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing works. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18 month period from 27 November 2016 between the hours of 20:00h - 06:00h, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
